Operations & Safety

  

Sea's The Adventure LLC., the “OPERATOR,” will conduct an orientation briefing with complete tour information and clear safety instructions for all GUESTS prior to all tour departures. Our top priority is to ensure GUESTS are always informed and safe.

The ORIENTATION BRIEFING will include:

Physical Requirements

  • Age: The minimum age is all ages are welcomed; GUEST will have to be Five (5) years old to "Snorkel". Guest must know how to swim.
  • Pregnant Women: We do not recommend pregnant women on our tours as the conditions can be rough, strenuous, and far from immediate assistance. 
  • Handicap: Not all tours are handicap accessible. Please inquire prior to booking

Safety Measures, Techniques, and Emergency Plan

  • The OPERATOR will provide clear instructions on safety measures and techniques to ensure a safe and effective tour.
  • The OPERATOR will thoroughly outline the tour, including location and timeline.
  • The OPERATOR will provide a clear explanation of the proper use of safety equipment, specifically life jackets, snorkeling equipment and safety steps for their use.

*Explanation of the emergency plan in case of an accident or sudden change in weather conditions.

We will share details about the mode of transportation, the proposed schedule, 

any physical requirements or limitations, and health information relevant to the activity.

Information requirements

  • Details of the duration of the activity, the place of departure and return and the means of transportation.
  • Objective of the activity.
  • Weather conditions in the area where the trip will take place.
  • Activity limitations and restrictions
  • The behavior to be maintained by the user during the development of the activities.
  • Information and acceptance of the risks involved in the trip.
  • Explanation of the emergency plan in case of an accident or sudden change in weather conditions.

The following points are detailed and described below.

  • Our tours can last up to 3 hours; Tours start daily at 8:00 am, we end our tours 8:30pm. The tours may be extended for various reasons. 
  • We will depart and return from our physical office 90% of the time. If not, the departure and return will be at the Marine location, designated and coordinated with our agency. 
  • We will use an operating vessel that meets all the necessary permits, requirements, and insurance stipulated by national legislation, State Laws.
  • We will meet at the boat (Vessel) where you will receive safety instructions for boarding and exiting the boat. 
  • The objective of this excursion is Snorkeling, Dolphin Sightings, Shell Island Tour, Sunset Cruises. 
  • Your physical condition and health may limit or restrict certain activities. You must maintain acceptable and respectful behavior during the tour while following the guide's instructions. Only do something with the guide's prior consent.
  • Children must be at least five years old to participate in the tour snorkeling activity. 

We will inform you of the risks involved in the tour and require your acceptance before starting the activity. Before beginning, we will inform you of the emergency plan in case of an accident and the company's abrupt change plan. Suppose weather conditions do not permit the activity to continue. In that case, the guide in charge of the activity will evaluate if it is safe to proceed based on physical patterns and methods.

Safety requirements

To ensure the user's safety during the activity, the following precautions must be taken: 

  • Verify the safety measures and equipment usage before, during, and after the service.
  • Assess the user's health condition before engaging in the activity and provide proper instruction and safe accommodation. 
  • Require the user to declare their ability to swim and swim correctly.
  • Ensure the guide correctly places the equipment for the activity.
  • The guide must continually monitor and ensure all users' presence throughout the activity.

Personal protective equipment to be used

Personal protective equipment necessary considering the climate of the region, GUEST are advised to bring.

  • Sunblock
  • Eye protection, Sunglasses
  • Hat
  • Bathing suit
  • Towels
  • Water shoes
  • Waterproof backpack (for safekeeping of personal belongings)
  • First aid kit (provided by the company to the guide in charge of the activity).

EMERGENCY PLAN 

The OPERATOR provides ALL guides with regular first-aid training communication equipment for areas without telephone service.  In the event of an emergency, the OPERATOR will take the following steps: 

  • The OPERATOR will assess the scene, move the GUEST to a safe area, and provide first-aid.
  • If necessary, the OPERATOR will contact the appropriate emergency personnel who will provide further guidance and the necessary steps to follow and proper methods for providing adequate care. .
  • The OPERATOR will have the accident mechanism evaluated. 
  • The GUEST’S injuries and wounds will be assessed. 
  • If required, trained emergency personnel will be dispatched with the necessary equipment to properly extract and assess the injuries or wounds. 
  • The GUEST will be transferred to a safe area for evaluation.
  • The GUEST will be transferred to the nearest medical center for medical evaluation if necessary. 
  • The GUEST’S recovery will be monitored and followed up on.

Emergency plan

  • In the event of an emergency, the guide in charge of the activity should contact the first aid and search and rescue department. They will provide guidance on the necessary steps to follow and proper methods for providing adequate care.
  • It is important to assess the scene, determine the cause of the accident, and immediately inform the first aid and search and rescue department.
  • Follow the instructions of the first aid service to evaluate the patient accurately and report back to the department.
  • Once all the necessary information is gathered, the first aid department will determine if additional equipment and trained personnel are required to minimize psychological and physical damage to the patient and perform a safe extrication from the scene.
  • The guide in charge of the activity, along with the first aid service, will safely transport the patient to a secure area and access rescue vehicles as efficiently as possible.
  • If required, the first aid department will make arrangements for the patient to be transferred to the nearest medical center for further evaluation by medical professionals.
  • The first aid department will closely monitor the patient's recovery process to aid and ensure the best possible recovery.

Control and Review

At the end of the TOUR, the OPERATOR will assess the following areas: 

  • Equipment check.
  • Evaluation of security measures implementation. 
  • Proper cleaning of used equipment. 
  • Training programs, continuous training, and personnel updates.
